Company History:

Alan Basinger moved to the Hill Country of Texas after multiple Decades in technological companies. He has built successful national MSPs, VoIP providers, and E-Commerce companies. While looking for help for his E-Commerce company he realized that there was a serious shortage of well qualified and certified IT service companies in the region. He found a small ailing MSP in the hill country and was brought on to help turn it around. After 3 months he was offered the opportunity to purchase the MSP and so Foris LLC was born.

We provide small to medium sized businesses with a way to manage their IT assets and deal with them in a manner that has honesty and integrity built into everything we do. To that end we have partnered with Dell, Microsoft, Patterson Dental, and Acronis as well as others to provide products and services that are reliable and meet the customer’s needs. We expect our employees to use honesty and integrity when dealing with all our customers, contacts and when they represent themselves to the public.

Handbook trumps previous policy documents.

This Employee Handbook supersedes and replaces all previous policies and procedures including, but not limited to, all memoranda or written policies which may have been issued on the subjects covered in this handbook.

The policies included in this handbook are guidelines only and are subject to change as the Company deems appropriate and necessary. From time to time you may receive notice of new or modified policies, procedures, benefits, or programs.

Personal Cell Phone usage.

Employees shall not use the cell phone or text while driving to or form work or client locations. If it is necessary to use electronic communications the employee will pull off to the side of the road. Before engaging in such communications.

Employees may be required to have phone monitoring software placed on their personal Cell phones. To protect any company data that you may have on them.

Employees may have company mail on their personal cell phones.

Under certain conditions a company phone may be provided.

Email Accounts.

Company provided email accounts shall be used for business purposes only. All communications shall be in a professional manor suited for business.

Employees that work with Medical physicality’s are required not to allow any data that may contain Personal Private Information (PPI) about patient records. Screen shots that may contain that information should be deleted the sender should be informed about the potential violations of HIPAA laws by sending that info to us.

Company Attire

Employees are expected to show up wearing appropriate business attire casual, closed toe shoe, Pants should be worn at the waist. Employees will be provided at least 2 company shirts with logo’s to be worn when at client locations.

Women should wear appropriate attire as not to be embarrassed or cause undue distractions at work.

Tardiness

The hours of Foris LLC are from 8:00 – 5:00 Monday – Friday. We may schedule after ours and weekends as needed. Employees are expected to show up on time. They should be rested and ready for work.

HIPAA Regulations

Foris LLC is in a partnership with HIPPA Secure Now. All employees are required to take the online training to keep Foris LLC in compliance. Employees must take and pass the training with a score of 80 or better. Employees have several opportunities to take and pass the test. Failure to pass the test may be grounds for dismissal.

Social Media

Employees should only use social media on the job to promote Foris LLC. While under the employment of Foris LLC there shall be no use of social media to run down any of Foris LLC policies, procedures, clients, or staff or employees. Employees shall not do anything on social media that would tarnish the reputations of Foris LLC or put it in jeopardy. Doing so may be grounds for dismissal and are ground for legal action as appropriate.

Benefits

Health Insurance

At the present time Foris LLC does not provide insurance to its employees. As our business grows we hope to offer this in the future.

Personal Time Off

Personal time off can be requested. If done so 5 days in advance. Foris LLC has the right to refuse that time off based on scheduling needs of the company.

Foris LLC Currently does not provide pay for Personal time off.

Paid Time-Off Policy

At the present time Foris LLC does provide accrual based PTO, details are in the employee contract.

Holidays

Foris LLC recognizes the following holidays and will under most circumstances will not be open or have shortened hours on those days. New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Eve. Foris LLC will make announcements of hours or closures on those days.

At the present time Foris LLC does not provide pay for those days.

Holiday Pay

If an employee is required to work for a customer on a holiday they will be paid at a double time rate. Customers will be changed the double time rate.

Jury Duty

If an employee has Jury duty Foris LLC provide you with time off for you to fulfill your civic duty.

At the present time Foris LLC does not provide pay for missed hours during those days.

Overtime

After an employee reaches 40 hours of billable time a week they will be paid at an overtime rate of 1 ½ times pay. For that pay period. As our business grows we hope to offer more incentives for this in the future.

Employee Acknowledgement Page.

The employee should understands all the contents of “Foris LLC DBA as Business Tech Pros Policies and procedures document” it is their responsibility to read and follow the policies.

The employee shall read the entire document, and if there are any questions the employee should ask the employer to clarify those areas you may have questions on.
